What a brilliant play! Jonathan Guy Lewis gives a magnificent performance in this laugh-out-loud one-man show of I found my horn , based on the semi-autobiographical book by Jasper Rees. It tells the story of a man who takes stock of the past and decides to take up the French Horn again after 22 years to play Mozart's Horn Concerto No.3 in a concert for the British Horn Society . The play was performed at a fundraising event for Maternity Worldwide , the charity dedicated to saving mother's lives. In Ethiopia 1 in 7 mothers die in pregnancy or childbirth compared to 1 in 4,600 in the UK. Most of these deaths are easily avoidable through simple and cheap methods with a donation of only £1 providing antibiotics, £15 sponsoring a safe birth and £40 providing a ceasarean section etc. Amongst other initiatives, Maternity Worldwide provides improved access to hospitals, skilled maternity staff and funding to those least able to pay for care. ...
